Some Friends Are Forever
- Laurieann Kelly
Source: Blue Mountain Arts
Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend:
someone who changes your life
by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh,
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you
believe that there really
is good in the world.
This is forever friendship.
When you're down,
and the world seems dark
just waiting for you to open it
and empty,
your forever friend lifts
you up in spirit
and makes that dark
and empty world suddenly
seem bright and full.
If you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete.
You have a firever friend
for life.

THE EAGLE
On a clear summer day.
I saw to my delight.
A magnificent bald eagle,
Soaring in flight.
Against a faded blue sky,
He performed for me.
Soaring and wheeling,
Majestically.
What a beautiful sight,
It was to see.
Soaring through the sky,
Happy and free.

MOM
Sometimes we laugh,sometimes we cry.
Sometimes we fight and we don't know why.
But no matter what we think or do,
you will always be my mom
and my best friend and my shoulder to cry,
when a guy breaks my heart.
A person to laugh with me when I know a good joke,
or an ear to talk when that's all I need to do.
Sometimes we fight sometimes we laugh,
Sometimes we cry and we don't know why.
But that's what makes us good friends,
and so close.

Hello My Friend
I was thinking about you today,
And realizing just how much your friendship has come to mean to me.
So often in my life whether I have good news to share or bad
I find myself rushing onto the Net
Just to share my thoughts and feelings with you.
You are always here for me
Even though we haven't met in awhile
You are as dear to me as any friend I have known
And I just thought I would write and tell you so.
I treasure our friendship,
And like the song says . . .
"Thank you For Being My Friend."
